Israeli army does it again!

this really irks me.

everytime i read that the israelis kill some suspected militant leader along with a child who happened to be riding in the car with him.

i always thought that israel, who like to think of themselves as "god's" people, should be taking the high road.

for me it was the belief that all people who refuse to become jws are intrinsically bad.

if someone doesn't accept the "truth", naturally it's because "satan-the-devil" has hardened their hearts.

when you're a dub, you tend to ignore the ramifications of this.

...on the middle east, specifically the history between israel and palestine.

is the bible, at least from a historical view, reliable enough to build a good time-line in this regard?

i've tried to do this on other forums and all i usually get is a long tirade against one side or the other.

i live really close to one in a town that i just moved to...thought it might be interesting to go and see what kind of horseshit the local dubs are getting these days, what the general mood is, etc.

i haven't set foot inside one for almost 30 yrs.

and wonder if i would notice any changes in witlessville.. wg

How My Staunch JW Grandfather Unwittingly Led Me Out

this is why i stopped first going out in service, and gradually stopped going to the meetings.. when i was young, my grandfather was like next thing to holy in my opinion, and really enjoyed the occasional time when my parents would send me to vist him.

but even then, it still never occured to me that the fact doctrine gets changed seriously challenges the idea of the society being god's "channel" or as being spirit "directed" or whatever they call it now.
